PiEEG XR-16
Face interface plus eight visual-cortex sensors

Everything in PiEEG XR, with eight extra electrodes over the visual cortex. 16 channels total. Same IronBCI conversion path: 24-bit, 250 SPS, BLE 5.
Use it when occipital coverage matters: visual evoked work, higher spatial resolution around the headset, or any decode that needs both facial EMG and posterior EEG. Advertises as PiEEG XR-16.
- Face-mask electrodes plus +8 visual-cortex sensors
- 16 channels, 24-bit, 250 SPS
- BLE 5 wireless stream
- Same gasket mount and USB-C power as PiEEG XR
- Open-source firmware
What the stream drives
Facial EMG
Mask electrodes pick up facial micro-expressions and map them to avatar motion.
EEG stream
Same front-end as IronBCI: 24-bit samples over BLE 5 into the browser or a local server.
Focus-to-Action
Band-power intensity can drive an in-scene effect: melt, explode, transform.
Affective overlay
Joy, load, and focus are readable from the stream. The avatar is not a hollow mesh.

Live demos
PiEEG XR overview
Face interface mounted on a headset, streaming biosignals into avatar control.
Headset test with PiEEG dashboard
Live neural signals from the XR gasket into the PiEEG dashboard.
Avatar studio
Facial EMG and brain state driving a live avatar.
Analog front-end
Electronics are IronBCI. Open source, BLE 5, 24-bit conversion. The XR SKU is the gasket, electrode layout, and headset mount around that board.
Other edition
PiEEG XR
8-channel face gasket without the extra visual-cortex sensors.
